不过，美女们也说了，她们的衣橱里永远少一件衣服。逛街不买衣服，那基本是不可能的。

可是，在美国和日本有一群“极简主义者”，他们却不这么认为，他们的房间里只保留必需品，衣橱里可能只有三件衬衫、四条长裤，以及另外的几件搭配服装。社交生活中只与真正彼此在意的朋友来往，不参加没有意义的聚会活动。没有了那么多选择以后，似乎生活变得简单美好了。

Minimalism is about reassessment of your priorities so that you can strip away the excess stuff – the possessions and ideas and relationships and activities – that don’t bring value to your life.

“极简主义”是对生活中的关注重点进行重新评估，这样你就可以舍去那些不会为你的生活带来价值的多余的部分，比如，多余的物品、想法、关系以及活动。

It’s simply getting rid of things you do not use or need, leaving an uncluttered, simple environment and an uncluttered, simple life. It’s living without an obsession with material things or an obsession with doing everything and doing too much. It’s using simple tools, having a simple wardrobe, carrying little and living lightly.

“极简主义”就是舍弃那些你不用或者不需要的物品，只留下简单整洁的环境和一个简单整洁的生活。这样的生活方式中，你不会对物质过于痴迷，也不会热衷于把每件事都做完或者总是想要做很多事。你用着简单的工具，有一个简约的衣橱，随身携带的物品简单轻便，生活方式也很轻快。

践行“极简主义”生活方式的人就是minimalist。

美国汉字网综合报导，当地时间星期天凌晨，佛罗里达州奥兰多一家同志夜总会发生美国历史*上*最凄惨的大规模枪击案，导致49人蒙难，53个人生命体受损。事情发生后，全美各地都为这次悲剧的蒙难者下半旗致哀，但阿拉巴马州的一个县却不接受这么做。

阿拉巴马州博尔德文（Baldwin）郡政府委员(Commissioner)多瑟（Tucker

Dorsey）在接纳NBC寻访时表达，他觉得奥兰多枪击案本身不合下半旗的标准。

多瑟说：“我对在枪击案中的蒙难者和它们的家人表达追悼，不过依据美国国旗的有关条例，这次枪击事情美国“经过”下半旗的测试。”

多瑟补给说，美国国旗只应当在政府官员物故还是国殇日当天下半旗。

多瑟在给“纽约每天新闻”的一份声明中说：“总统和州长有可能是做出了下半旗的指示，不过我私人信任，这个作法和国旗法案不完全一样。”

除开这次奥兰多枪击案以外，博尔德文郡在今年前一年的巴黎恐袭和加州圣贝纳迪诺郡枪击案时，都没有下半旗。
