Klübersynth UH1 14-31 was 

developed especially for the food 

processing industry. It meets the 

requirements of the German 

Fodstuffs and Consumer Goods Act 

(LMBG, sec. 5, subsec. 1, sentence 

1). It is also registered under NSF-

H1 because all the substances it 

contains satisfy the elevated purity 

specifications of the “Guidelines of 

sec. 21 CFR 178.3570 of FDA 

regulations”.  

 

Registration under NSF-H1 permits 

the use of the grease in all situations 

of occasional technically 

unavoidable contact between grease 

and foodstuff. 

 

Klübersynth UH1 14-31 excels by its 

low-temperature and anti-wear 

properties as well as good water 

resistance and effective wear 

protection. It should preferably be 

used when extremely smooth 

running and a wide speed range are 

required. Klübersynth UH1 14-31 

also offers good protection against 

corrosion and high stability to ageing 

and oxidation. 

 

 

Applications 

 

Klübersynth UH1 14-31 is used for 

the lubrication of machines and 

equipment in the food processing 

industry. It is intended for sliding and 

rolling bearings, lifting cylinders, 

joints, seals, etc. as well as for the 

lubrication of friction points in freeze 

and deep-freeze tunnels or for 

chains which run more smoothly 

when lubricated with a soft grease. 

 

 

Application notes 

 

Klübersynth UH1 14-31 can be 

aplied using a brush, spatula or 

grease gun and can be delivered 

easily by central lubrication systems. 

 

Klübersynth UH1 14-31 service 

temperatures* range between -40 °C 

and 120 °C. Even lower 

temperatures may be supported 

application-specifically. The 

lubricating film retains its 

functionality down to approx. -70 °C. 

 

This lubricant is certified as H1, 

which means that it has been 

designed and registered for 

incidental, technically unavoidable 

food contact.  

Specific test results referring to 

pharmaceutical applications are not 

available for this product (e.g. 

biocompatibility).Therefore, before 

using the lubricant adequate risk 

analyses have to be performed and, 

if necessary, suitable measures be 

taken by the manufacturer and user 

of pharmaceutical installations in 

order to exclude the risk of health 

hazards and personal injuries. 

 

 

Minimum shelf life 

 

Minimum shelf life is approx. 24 

months if the product is stored 

carefully in its unopened original 

packing in a dry room.
