Duplex filters

Duplex filters comprise two filter housings. One half of the filter is in operation whilst the other clean half is on stand-by.

When the contamination exceeds a preset tolerance level, the flow can be switched to the cleaned half of the filter without any pressure shock. The contaminated filter element is cleaned whilst the plant continues to run. Switch-over is performed by a cylindrical cock valve or double stage three-way ball valves. The design prevents both filter chambers from being shut off at the same time.

Simplex filters are the basic model of filter technology. They perform filtration tasks just as reliably as duplex filters with dual chambers or automatic filters.
All filter element designs with different filter materials can be installed. BOLL simplex filters are used everywhere where the plant or the filter with shut-off device can be shut down in order to clean or replace the filter elements.

Change-over valves
BOLL 3/2-way ball valves are built to enable the reliable separation of components and units from a continuous process, combined with the simultaneous changeover to redundant components without interrupting the process. Cleaning Devices
To efficiently regenerate filter elements that have become engrained with contaminants and secure full functionality, it is recommended to clean the filter mesh from time to time. Optimum results are achieved by using the BOLL cleaning units in combination with the special cleaning fluid BOLL-CLEAN 2000.
