德国电子展electronica 2014: Welcome to the future（上一届官方展会数据报告）
In the year of its 50th birthday, electronica has achieved an outstanding result: more than 73,000 visitors from over 80 countries and 2,737 exhibitors from 50 countries celebrated the anniversary of the world's largest event for the electronics industry. Once again, the number of international visitors has increased – from 47 to 50 percent. As revealed during the four days of the trade fair, the future is connected – from wearables and cars to entire towns and cities.

Looking back on more than 50 successful years

1964—October 21 electronica celebrates its premiere with 140 exhibitors and 13,400 visitors.
1966 The first electronica was so successful that practically everything at the second event doubled—i.e. the number of stands, the number of companies           and the amount of exhibition space.
1970 The fair surpasses the 500 exhibitors mark. Just less that 50,000 visitors attend the fourth edition of electronica.
1973 electronica's spin-off event LASER World of PHOTONICS is held for the first time in 1973. It is now the industry's leading international trade fair.
1975 Another electronica spin-off is born: The sector for electronics production evolves into its own trade fair productronica.
1976 For the first time ever, the fair has more than 1,000 exhibitors.
1990 For the first time ever, more than 2,000 exhibitors showcase their products and services at electronica.
1998 electronica moves to the new trade-fair center in Munich-Riem.
2000 The fair takes its first step into one of the most important electronics markets in the world with electronica India.
2002 The electronica family grows with the addition of electronica China in one of the most rapidly growing electronics markets.
2006 The fair launches the electronica Automotive Conference with an eye on the rapidly growing automotive market.
2008 After 44 years, electronica gets a completely modernized logo.
2012 The Embedded Platforms Conference celebrates its premiere.
2014 A half-century of electronica! We proudly look back on 50 successful years—and give ourselves our “own planet” as a gift.
