接触器是指工业电中利用线圈流过电流产生磁场，使得触头闭合，从而可以控制负载的一种电器。由于其可快速切断主回路，并可频繁地接通与大电流控制电路的装置，因此在电工学中已得到广泛的应用。

接触器按主触点连接回路的形式可分为直流接触器和交流接触器。其中，直流接触器采用模块化设计，力图以最少的零件完成客户要求，如所需触点路数、触点形式等。直流接触器触点开断电压高，并采用横吹磁场灭弧，适用于程控电源、不间断电源系统、工程机械系统等。
